Search my gallery and you will see my Hammertone/silver finish on my calipers. NOT heat proof paint and not necessary. Just be carefull with brakefluid around paint. My dream is to go with carbon ceramics or upgraded brake pads. Anodized BLUE. Anodizing would require complete dissasembly. \"/

Here's my calipers... They certainly don't jump out at 'ya like Richoems' example. A bitchen anodized blue would be my ultimate finish....And I thought I would never own another blue car !!

For my blue car I want blue anodizing. This would jump out at the eye fairly well...But the calipers would have to be removed,(no big deal) and completely dissassembled. Carefull masking of nipple/bleeder threads and more important-the piston bores All 28 of them !! One bit of anodizing on the wrong area would spell failure and destruction. A pretty risky undertaking. I'll contact the local shops and see what they say. Notice ...I only painted parts of the caliper and masked the logo as not to lose it. Too bad my calipers don't have the logo-"CERAMIC" on them !! OR I can get some anodised looking paint!! I think I will do this as soon as me and my R8 are re-united in a week or so. I'm in the A-zone (Arizona).Visiting with freinds, and I'll meet up with R84ME while I'm here.

I have black calipers with what appears to be a silver "R8" decal. If I get them painted yellow, how do I get that large "R8" logo in black like you show on your orange calipers? Are there decals sold somewhere? The only ones I've found so far are 4" wide which I think might be too big as the existing logo is only 3".

I believe the dealership sells them....but only in the stock colour. I'm making inquiries with my body shop to have my calipers painted too, and they're saying they can get the decals in other colours as needed. Not sure what their source is though.
