LED license plate bulb that doesn't trigger bulb warning?

Anybody replaced their license plate bulbs with an LED unit that doesn't throw a bulb warning? I just got some nice bulbs, but they throw a warning on the dash - a warning for a license plate bulb? Seriously. Sigh. I'm tempted to solder on a parallel resistor, but that makes a boatload of heat, so I'm looking for an alternative which was designed properly. I hear Ziza makes bulbs that work - but I don't have a local source for them in Ottawa, Ontario.

it doesn't trigger the warning bulbs....i replaced mine nothing

This was covered in at least one other thread where iirc Frog came up with a reliable ebay source for working bulbs.

You might like to search for the offending thread and possibly contact Frog if it was him.

I find the search function on this forum to bring up just about every thread in the entire forum even when attempting to be very explicit with key words. Never really found that it worked well.

i did that with a good electrision and he kept un seen original lights hidden to avoide the warning lights

just wondering what would happen if you left the LED bulbs in for the license plate WITH the error codes. will that make the electrical system malfunction over time? i think seeing the error code on the dash is worth the WHITE light instead of the nasty yellowish light in the back.....who's a tech here that knows what the consequences are?

There shouldn't be any consequences other than the dash warning. The car thinks that the plate light(s) has (have) gone bad and is reporting this, nothing more, nothing less.
