A few pictures of my red Twin Turbo R8

[Heffner Performance]

I took delivery of this car about three weeks ago. We immediately began to give it a makeover by painting the emblems, front grille, rear diffuser and center of the rear bumper gloss black. We also added the V10 front air duct inserts, a set of H&R lowering springs, a set of our Heffner - ADV1 wheels and our 6 psi Twin Turbo system.

As soon as the car was done we shipped it out to Virginia International Raceway for a few days on the track. Once it returned we had it all cleaned up and had a few photos taken.

I am completely in love with the way this car turned out. I hope you all enjoy it as well.

Thats one of the smartest R8s i have seen, is this your everyday car? that black on red looks amazing.

That's a very dramatic colour combo. Most people don't automatically think "Audi" and "red" go together, but the effect can often be spectacular.

In general, the two red R8's that I've seen haven't done much for me (especially the one with the silver blades - made it look like an ambulance), but yours looks killer.

The lack of chrome (a good thing) and black accenting really stands out. The only thing missing is carbon mirror pods.

Any chance of a closer look at the wheels? Very Dymag looking. I like!

Looks great! Question........ what is the difference between V8 and V10 front air ducts? I just learned the difference in the side blade ducts not long ago. Anything else different between V8 and V10's (cosmetically)?

The V10 front grills are two horizontal blades and they are connected all the way around the opening. A frame, if you will. The first and second picture above show this quite well.

The V8's front are three horizontal blades and they snap into individual recesses.

Rear end
V8: 3 horizontal blades
V10: 2 horizontal blades.

Dual round pipes in the exhaust tip outlets on the V8
Oval and single pipe exhaust outlet on the V10
these are just tips that are in rear bumper facia - the actual exhaust pipes stop just inside the beginning of the opening of the tips.

V10 badge right behind the front wheels, I believe on the hood, just in front of the door. No such thing on the V8
