Sidemarkers!!! :(

Hi

Audi ordered me a v10 bumper that has been fully assembled and painted. My bodyshop call me today and tell me there are gaps in either side, confused I discover audi has ordered me a US style bumper with wholes for the sidemarkers. Those are horrible and not a requirement in Europe. Anyone know a good way to conceal this? Maybe a part that slots in I can have painted the body colour?

Could Audi have replaced yours with a U.S model bumper with sidemarkers? If so, be happy and install the amber lenses for a great look (with Jet blue ) and a slight amount of extra safety. Take care of that Jet.

Since you can't return the bumper now that you've painted it, I'd suggest your best option is to purchase sidemarkers and simply paint them body color. It might be difficult to make the sidemarker lights function in a R8 which was not originally built for the North American market.

Thanks for replies guys. I think thats what im going to do. Audi have ordered the parts and didnt charge me for them or I would have gone spare lol. Have to wait until january tho as they are on backorder. I will then jsut paint them the body color.

I wonder if the wire harness has the pigtail leads for the markers? (cheaper to make one harness and use/not use specific leads). If it does have the leads and you can find someone with a Ross-Tech, you could probably program the NA markers to work.
