    Ordering Custom Floor Mats

I want to order a set of custom floor mats for my R8 as the stock ones I have aren't holding up to well. Actually, just the passenger mat. The passenger mat keeps flopping over when I accelerate. I've decided a heavier, more durable set of mats is needed. Anyone have any suggestions on where to order some. I was thinking about ordering a set with a R8 logo, but I am open to any other suggestions. Anyone have a set of aftermarket floor mats in their R8? Would love to know what company you ordered yours from. I was leaning towards the Lloyd mats.

This was discussed in older threads. Someone wanted to glue a strip of velcro to the mat but that won't likely hold up too well.

I suggested getting a velcro strip stitched to the back of the mat, it might be a good solution for the problem.

I was the one who revived the old thread and was the one who used the velcro that didn't work. The mat I have is already cracking from folding over so much and is now useless. The reason for the new thread was to get an idea of aftermarket floor mats.

I don't know if there are any decent custom mats out there, but I suspect if you get a new Audi mat you won't have the problem. I've never had that problem in the V10, even on the track. If you continue to have the problem, you may try sewing an aluminum wire or small rod to the back so it holds the angle better.

That was my only worry. I didn't want to shell out $250 for a new set of mats if the same problem was going to happen again. However, if it won't happen again, I have no problem purchasing another set. I guess I will give that a shot. Thanks guys.

I bought a new set from Audi for around £50 I think. Perfect.

I love my cocomats, and I know others have commented on the hexomats (sp?). I have the full leather interior in limestone grey with black accents and ordered the cocomats in black with a grey 'dot' (check their site to see what I mean). These things must weigh ten pounds each and they don't move once in place. Plus, they don't show any dirt at all (the stock light grey mats were hopeless to keep clean).

I have the limestone gray interior also. I ordered a set of OEM black mats after two weeks with the gray mats. The black mats do not show the dirt and I have never had an issue with them folding over. I have 15K miles on my car.

3M has an industrial strength version of Velcro called Dual-Lock. They have many versions of this product. If you are located in the US you can find it at Home Depot. It has a red release liner and black locking mechanism. You can also go on 3M's website www.3M.com and find the products. They have products that stick to fabric on both faces.

    Hope this helps.

I have the hexomats and they are good and fit my needs during snow/wet. Fit well and dark grey/black looks good with the titanium/grey interior. They snug up on the passenger's side under the dash so no issues with folding. They really could be better and I would pay more for a better product but haven't found anything yet.

Same here. I ordered black for my Beige interior, and now another set for my limestone interior, no issues with folding. Would love if they offered a reasonably priced set with piping.
