    Removal of visor Warning Stickers

I been lurking here for a while, but haven't posted much. Anyway, has anyone removed these visor "Warning" stickers in the US models? With the Alcantara, the stickers seem "adhered" pretty well.

    Thanks!

Europrice and OEMplus, both supporting vendors of this forum, sell european visors without the warning stickers.

Don't try to remove the sticker. Plain and simple.

It won't come off w/o the need to order a new passenger side visor.

I believe they run about US$175, not that I would know about this. Alcantara may be a bit more pricey.

I covered mine with the fuzzy side of some big black velcro sheets. Doesn't look as good as replacing them, but it sure looks better than the terrible yellow stickers. Dang lawyers...

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, the stickers stick out like sore thumbs, but I have too many other CF options that I want first

I use matte black vinyl to cover all my car visors. Looks a million times better.

No, if you have alcantara I can confirm they WILL peel off. I know because I did it.

However it won't be a fast process. At first I thought there was no way they would peel off, but then I realized it was really just a problem of getting a good grip, so I took some tweezers and slowly starting pulling off the corner. You have to go VERY slowly, because the sticker will rip. It's inevitable that you will rip it, but the process is a lot easier if you can peel it in as large sections as possible.

In my experience, once I got to the middle part of the sticker I could peel it off relatively easily with my fingers. The hardest part to peel off is the edges of the sticker, sometimes you have to literally peel it off in little pieces. But it will come off.

I've heard of other ways to do this with some chemicals, but I was lazy and didn't want to take the visors off or risk damaging the alcantara.

I took pictures in case someone ever asked this exact question.

Here's how it looks in progress:

    Final Result:

It took me about 3 hours to remove the stickers from both visors, but your time will vary depending on your technique. My car is also new, 2011, so the adhesive strength may vary on older cars.

If the time is worth less to you than the cost of buying the european visors, then go for it. But once started, there's no going back.

God those stickers are ugly when it comes to nice cars. Maybe some heat from a heat gun would help (very careful and moderate heating)?

Awesome! Might as well give it a go! Worse comes to worse, I will just have to buy a new visor which I would have dome in the first place. Thanks!

Heat may make it easier to pull off if the adhesive melts, though it might also make the sticker more likely to rip. Not really sure, I live in Florida anyway so temperatures are always warm.
