Hey everyone,
Can you anyone recommend some decent all-weather floor mats for the R8?
Thank you in advance.

I highly recommend the Hexomat. I first saw them in Harrison's car. They are reasonably priced, fit well, look good and are functional. In fact, I think they look so good that I leave them in year-round. I got mine from AutoSport but they are widely available from a number of online retailers.
I purchased similar Lloyds Rubbertite rubber mats for my Audi TT but they were a huge disappointment. It took a week to get the rubber/plastic smell out of the car!![]()

I have the gray Hexpomats that go well with my Limestone Gray interior and they work will in the rain and mud which we get too much of in the Santa Cruz Mtns.
Thanks for the post, Desperado. I assume the hex upper of these, has a back..trapping debris? Just pull the mat out once in a while, as needed to clear out dirt, etc?
No, they are one piece and the dimples are molded into the material. I remove the OEM carpet mats and put these in. A nice benefit is the OEM mats stay new looking for when you finally pass the car onto its next owner. They have holes to fit over the locating studs under the seat. The dimples trap the dirt and water from your shoes. Simple matter to lift out the entire mat and dump the trash or hose them off. If you do hose them off, make sure to dry them to avoid leaving water spots on the glossy material.
My detailer makes them look like new each time using interior dressing. Only downside is it makes them slick as snot for a week. It always bothers the passenger (wife) since she doesn't have a steering wheel to hold onto when entering and exiting the car. I think it's kind of funny, but don't tell her that![]()

Some of the other members have mentioned their factory mats folding back (fortunately mine don't) and I would like to find an aftermarket mat that doesn't have the same issue.
Do the top portions of the Hexomat's stay in place pretty well or do they tend to flop down?
2009 R8 4.2 = Gone.
2009 Q7 4.2 Prestige
2010 R8 5.2 R-Tronic, Ice Silver, Black Enhanced leather, Carbon side blades, Carbon engine trim, Carbon interior trim, Premium package, Navigation Plus, Bang & Olufsen, Alcantara headliner, STaSIS exhaust.
Politically incorrect and Proud!
Have never had a flop. Mine fit pretty well to the carpeting on the sides of the wheel well and tunnel. Anyone else have any problems?

Mine have never flopped down even with spirited driving but have no experience with launch control or drag racing just lots of mud and tar and gravel driveways.
