Hey guys. I don't like the CF blade on my Black R8. Can this be painted to match my car or do you recommed against it? Anyone want to trade for black blade?

It can of course be painted, but it'd be a shame, better find someone who indeed wants to trade...
What I would recommend for you to consider is vinyl wrapping it with the color closest matching your car. If you can find such a color, this transformation would be quite cost effective.
I guess your black is a black metallic pearl effect, in which case just a black metallic vinyl might do the job perfectly.
And another great advantage here is that if you ever sell the car, and the buyer prefers a CF blade, you just remove that vinyl and they got a perfect CF blade under it.

I have oxygen silver blades on my silver car. I had them vinyl wrapped in a mat black by Premier protective films and it came out really well. I'd look into a wrap instead of painting the carbon fiber.
DON'T paint it! We'll be happy to swap you for a set of pre-painted blades. I have a set here in black and could ship them shortly...

I have V8. You guys are right. I should just Vinyl it. I'll call you OEM PLUS today about possible trade.
Do you guys recommend where I can buy vinyl that will best match my black color?
Thanks!
Best thing to do is have the vinyl professionally done. They can cut and fit it properly plus they guarantee the work. If you're in northern or southern CA Premier is the way to go. You've got some very expensive pieces there and they will do it right.
Just hit the next shop that vinyl wraps cars in your area, if none is found head for the next shop that does signs, they'd probably be able to order the right vinyl for you that is the best match.
These are easy flat surfaces with no real issues, especially the V8 blades. If there is any car on the car I would wrap myself that would be it. If you're handy with an Xacto knife just watch a few videos of how its done on Youtube and do it yourself, should be pretty easy.
