Motown, you are right on. The R8 is not another tuner car, not just a pretty body on which to hang costume jewlery. There is no need to make it look different. The R8 is about quattro, about balance, about poise, about handling, about balanced performance. The R8 is about handsome good looks, but it is NOT about makeup. The R8 is about the machine and the man driving it; it's not about the photographs. It is about the experience you get behind the wheel, not the one non-owners get behind the viewfinder. There is so much wasted breath on this forum about this wheel, or that side skirt, or the other scoop or fin or wing or splitter.

I realize I've offended some who are in the automatic habit of customizing every car they've ever owned. I submit that the R8 transcends that. It just doesn't need it.

whats turns me off from these style kits , they are fiberglass and rock chips . I had old full techart kit on my 996TT and in black and every week i had 20 chips fiberglass just doenst hold up like oem polly ..
