    DPE Wheels-opinion

I have been toying around with the idea of getting some new wheels for the summer. What are peoples opinions on DPE? I ask because most members seem to be gravitating toward HRE and ADV. Any and all advice/help would be appreciated. Thx

It would be helpful if you posted some links or photos of the wheel you are considering.

I've heard decent things about them. Probably a bit underrated, as they don't do much high-profile marketing like some of the other guys.

Were you thinking of doing something like this?

I think they're awesome! Similar to my ADV.1s albeit mine are 7-spoke and yours are 10.
How much do they cost? What size?

I think they are a beautiful wheel.

Since you asked for our opinions : They seem a little busy on the R8. The R8 already has beautiful and subtle lines - I think the pictured wheel detracts from that by drawing the eye to the wheel instead of the car in total.

    Re: DPE Wheels-opinion

I agree the MT20 wheel on that R8 above is on the busy side, but DPE does have plenty of other styles that are simpler.

Come to think of it, the 3-pc version, the S20, is already a big improvement over the 1-pc, if you ask me.

    Re: DPE Wheels-opinion

I've emailed back and forth a couple times with the company and it seems that the offset is an issue with getting anything with a deep concavity. Here are a few that I've been mulling over. The MT7 and SP-C16. Either in a matte black with polished lip, or just a brushed finish. DPE advertises a fair amount on other sites, just not on this forum. I was particularly looking for any information on quality of build, customer service, or actual ownership experience.

Of course everyone is allowed to chime in on what the best looking wheel would be even if it is not one I have seen just yet

    Re: DPE Wheels-opinion

If you like the original wheel you posted but it's too busy, then perhaps the ADV.1 equivalent with only 7 arms versus the 10 that makes the DPE wheels so busy will suit your tastes. I get nothing but enthusiastic compliments on mine, and the rears are quite concave:

KSv10,I think you should check the DPE SP-SC16 wheels out,IMHO they are not too busy and makes the car look really fierce. I haven't seen them on any R8s out there, but I'm pretty sure they will look quite good even with minimal concavity.
