Lightbulb Any R8 owners install BBS LM or LM-R wheels on their car?

Both are classic wheel designs so just doing some HW on these wheel fitments and what you guys have used size wise? I definitely plan to lower the car so I want something safe fitment wise but also slightly more aggressive than stock.

Do you guys think 19's or 20's are ideal for this car? Do the sizes have to be the same due to the Quattro?

I would love to see pictures of any owners who have BBS wheels on their R8!

    TIA!

here's the wheel I'm talking about:

In all of my searching I've never seen an R8 with BBS LM's or LM-R's.
I run the CH-R's on my S5 and they would be the wheel of choice for my R8

I find the traditional stepped lip designs make the wheel look smaller than it actually is. You're almost forced to go with 20" at the very minimum, otherwise the wheels ends up looking like it's not as big as the stock wheels. I'd reckon a 20" BBS LM would actually look smaller than a 19" stock wheel.

^your absolutely right but from what I heard "stepped" wheels are inherently stronger

this is my BBS LM 19" rear on my other car: (looks plenty big to me!)

Nice NSX! I used to have two of them. I think the NSX sits lower to the ground and the curvature of the wheel well helps any plus size wheel set-up look more enhanced. I had 17/18 staggered set-ups on both and they already looked quite big.

I agree with the comment about the added strength of the stepped lip design, so on my car I chose the Track Spec layout with the contoured spokes which takes the tip of the spoke to the outer edge of the rim, thereby overcoming the deceptively small-looking centre of traditional stepped lip designs.

Having said all that though, the BBS are timeless designs and they're built to the most exacting standards, as I'm sure you know. Regardless, I'd try something different since you already have them on another car. Just my two cents.

    Happy contemplation!

Wow that's a pretty sharp looking wheel if it had a gun-metal face but how is the quality/construction of this wheel?

What is the warranty for leaks, or if the wheel is not perfectly true?
