    black vs chrome grill

I was wondering everyone's opinion that cares. I just picked up an 09 R9. It's Blk/blk with Black blades. I am painting the yellow and red side markers black. My real question is in the front. Should I paint the Chrome Ring around the grill Black to match the car or leave it, so it has some contrast. With that said my wheels will be matte black also.

Just wondering everyone's opinion - tks

Like Pirelli P-Zeros, chrome does not belong on an R8.

Chrome and flame jobs belong on '57 Chevys and bass boats and nothing else, in my (not so) humble opinion.

I dislike chrome too. I have a Phantom Black car and wanted to darken a few things. I chose to remove the badges and have the grill pieces painted black (outside ring and quatrro badge), darkened the side markers, smoked taillights and titanium colored wheels.
I have a few pics showing these details. Here is one of the grill:

Forgive my ignorance but why do P-Zeros not belong on an R8?

I believe his answer will be, "P Zeros do not belong on ANY car."

Sorry for the thread hi-jack Jamey.

    Sebring nailed it.

Spyderman, search under my name and P-Zero and you'll find that I've not been a fan of those tires from the beginning. They don't work for me.

That why you should be using toyo R888 :P

I think the black or chrome depends on what colour car and which car

My car V10 in ipod white with black pack looks epic.
but my black alfa 159 has a chrome pack that looks epic.
some car/colours suit the chrome some suit the black park
    Its all personal taste.

It just depends wether you want the gangster blacked out look or the bit more elegant look. both can look good.

My bad I should have worded it better 6 hours of coding mashes your mind

I ment the black grill on the dark blue met I think some colours look better with the chrome. I always think of the black as more sporty or as my father would say the boy-racer style
