    Black Side Blades?

I see white R8's on the site here with black blades. I do not see a way to order a white one with a black blade unless you do carbon fiber, but the black blades I see in pictures looks painted. Am I missing something? I could get the car and just wrap the black with gloss black vinyl or could take it off and get it painted, but that would be a pain. Thoughts?

I think the black blades you see have either been wrapped or have been painted.

(I put this in a new thread, as it really didn't have anything to do with pricing )

Had both of mine painted, not a pain at all. Took a couple of days and both were around $650 thru the dealers shop.

I ordered mine from Audi with phantom black blades... It is just considered body colored sideblade.

Mine is also Ibis with painted black side blades. Like cavaret said, it is just body color option, though not listed on the Audi web site, but you can request at time of order, cost is $1000.

OK, makes sense. When I was looking at the build I was thinking body color side blades meant the same, but black can be done. Good to know.

Was thinking of change the sideblade colors too.

I am considering 3M CF wrapping. I am of the thought that wrappings can be removed when you get sick of the color and try other variety of colors?

Not sure if wrapping will make the R8 look cheapskate instead of the real deal. Any opinion?

CF wrap only looks good in pictures, in person, i personally feel it looks cheap. But harrison on these boards uses a vinyl that i've never seen or heard before, and it looks decent from his pics...waiting for a sample from him to see it in person.

I saw Harry's car again this week. The wrapped side skirts look quite good, they are a surprisingly good match to the OEM CF.

Got Photo of Harry's car? Could use one to show the CF wrapping dealers if they have similar ones in town.
