    Engine vents on V10

Have any of you replaced, or painted the silver engine bay vents to black?
Had I been able to keep my V8 for a bit after acquiring the V10, I would have swapped them for sure.
Anyways, I'm just wondering how they turned out if painted. I think a c.f. wrap would be cool, but not sure how could it would come out considering they are far from being a flat surface.

I believe ianerrid had his CF guy make some for him.

I think they would be rather tricky to wrap in 3M dinoc.

I swapped my V8 vents with a fellow who wanted a blacked out look on his V10. I bet you could find a V8 owner who'd be willing to swap.

The shop that facilitated the swap said they couldn't be certain that painting the silver vents would turn out acceptably well.

I would not paint those. Try to find a swap if you can.

Just spoke with my shop. They said they see NO REASON these can not be painted, so all is good. I'd like to maybe paint them a gloss black to go with the V10 center rear bumper.

Yeah I prefer the V8 look also to the V10 aluminum finish. Dig the chrome V10 grill tho unlike most of you I wouldnt recommend having them carbon wrapped as its insane money due to the complex shape of the part ($3,000+). Painting shouldn't be a problem why not try some unusual color like red and do your callipers in red also? :P

Red vents might be a bit too flashy for me, but...... I am doing something else in RED that I think will be a first, and most will appreciate.

Maybe a custom color on the vents is a bad idea:
