    Great day today carbon console

Finally got my package today, but before I TRY to install it myself, does anyone have any experience with removing their center console? I do not want to break anything since I am not good with my hands.
    Here's a teaser

Beautiful piece there! I was considering one myself, but my car has the center console done in leather as part of the Audi exclusive options. The leather looks so much nicer than the standard plastic like console they put in there.

Sooooo sexy! Will look amazing when fitted! If you are not good with your hands tho I wouldnt recommend fitting this as a lot needs to come out including the handbrake (as far as I know) maybe best left to a mechanic?

You could get the carbon trims around cup holder and on top of ebrake like GT. That's my next piece.
BTW it's from tetmotorsports if anyone wonder.

Pulling the center console is a pretty easy, but time consuming project.

It's been a while, but as I recall, you pull the little "glove box" thing in the back (screws are hidden in it, but don't recall where. Pull the ring that surrounds the shifter (expect to fish the clips out of the console area - at least one WILL pop off), unscrew the next section of the shifter surround, pull the screws holding the console in. Seems that you have to pull the a/c control section too, but don't hold me to that one... The passenger knee bolster needs to come out - it pops off with a quick tug - make sure you pull both ends at the same time, or you'll break off the tab down in the foot well area.

You'll have to get to the screws under the little cover caps in the driver's foot well too.

If you study the pretty new piece, you'll see where the screws hold things in place. Just work your way to those by removing what ever happens to be in the way.

Bring it here to me and I'll gladly do the work - but you're going to have to take me out to dinner for this one!

Macarbon has mine and they will be installing the entire column including the piece continuing above the shift knob area. They're going to use my car for their video tutorial as well so that should help all you peeps for future installs...just need to squeeze time into my schedule to drop off my car.
