Any ideas as to how to protect from stone chips on the leading edge of the rear wheel arch? Car 2 years old, bought from new, perfect in every way. Looking for a tasteful option (other than respray) to prevent further damage.

Photos of the area you are asking about would be helpful.

Got my R8 "filmed" new, so don't have much in the way of stone chips, but judging from bug strikes (which I admit do have a little different strike pattern), the leading edge of the air scoop takes most of the rear area brunt (mine was filmed on the edge by the guy who did my job originally). Given that the scoop is a little wider on the v10, I'd think it would be even more true there. Can't say as I've noticed much, or anything, hitting the fender's wheel arch.

I attach two rather poor photos to illustrate the area. You can just about see the chips on the rim on the out of focus one. Tasteful clear or silver plastic protector strips should do it?
Use the Google Search from the Search pull down above for "clearbra" or for "film".

I misunderstood: I guess I would have called that the trailing edge of the rear wheel arch....thought you meant the front edge.
Can't say as I've noticed much on my car in the area you're picturing. But "filming" (clear bra) should do it, though I had a shop decline to do it on an area (front bumper of another car) that already had "road rash"...guy said I'd have to get it painted first, so it was smooth, or the film wouldn't adhere properly. I think there is a much heavier clear film that can be used with adhesive, though I'm not sure where you get it.
