Mode Carbon R8 Front Lip

The nose of the R8 platform is a serious affair, with its aggressive slant nose demeanor and sharp bodywork setting it apart from anything else on the road. We are proud to offer something also unlike anything else on the road with our Front Lip: the first full carbon fiber Splitter designed for the R8 platform with your daily life in mind.

Our Splitter is designed for function and style down to the smallest details. The purposeful lines of the Front Splitter compliment the already aggressive front bumper lines without being overly ostentatious, allowing the fascia to retain its bold overt character while channeling airflow to aid in aerodynamics.*

The emphasis of this design concept is one of perhaps the ultimate functionality: practicality in your daily driving experience. Since the nose of the R8 platform is naturally low (especially on aftermarket suspension setups), we were careful to optimize ground clearance for ultimate street drive-ability. Extra attention was paid to the sides of the Splitter; this lack of protrusion will ultimately allow you to angle the car over slanted driveways, speed bumps, and any other common occurrences in your day-to-day life with the car.

*We will hold off on claiming functional down-force until a wind tunnel test is conducted. However, the angles and openings of the Splitter are designed with the intention of achieving aerodynamic gains.

Key features:

Fitment for all R8 models
100% pure carbon fiber
Vacuum infusion, dry lay process
Superior stiffness-to-weight ratio
Pin straight weave
UV protected high-gloss clear coat
Comes with 3M tape pre-attached

Yes, our Front Lip utilizes the OEM mounting points (tabs) on the front bumper.

How does the splitter work with the stock GT splitter? Is it still just a add on? Do you have any better pictures of the Eurocharged front end showing the splitter installed?
Our Front Lip would replace the GT Splitter that is already on the car. You would need to remove that one in order to install ours. We do not however we will be track-side stateside this weekend with their build and I will be sure to take some photos for you.
