Hood Rings

I actually orders 2 sets, painted one left other alone. That way when/if ever get rid of I can put back to normal. My wife and son said put them back on, same with some other of my car buddies. Ones I get them on I will post pics. Thanks guys!

I took the rings off on the front and back. Looks cleaner just kept the R8 and v10 on sides in black. Painted the side markers color of the car.

I'm running no rings on the hood and carbon fiber rings on the back.

I've had the front rings off for a while now. I had the rear and side badges blackened as part of my De-Chroming mods.

OEM Plus sells all the rings in chrome and flat black, straight from Audi. They even have the V10 (or V8) in flat black. OEM Plus has most exterior parts from all the models. I'm going to replace the shiny black grill on my V10 and replace it with the GT which is flat black. I also will change out all the rings with flat black.

Without the emblem, it looks like the car was in an accident, repainted, and the emblem was not put back on...

Here's my new hood rings, just painted satin black and re-installed. This is the look for me. Just have to get the Stasis wheels back on now and get some driving weather.....

Here's one from October but prior to H&R springs and the Matt black badges, just had those done. This was at Castle Combe at the Audi Drive Magazine track day. Audi had an R8 GT there too but the ex-race driver taking her around was being very cautious - just for fun there's another shot with me and the GT - behind me!
