Carbon fiber piece around MMI/Radio/NAV Display

I've seen a few pictures of R8s that have Carbon Fiber around the Nav display instead of the regular flat black plastic. Is that an Audi spec part, or is that aftermarket?

If it's an Audi spec part, does anyone know if they make it in matte carbon fiber too, or just the regular carbon fiber? I'd like to swap mine out on my GT, but all the carbon fiber is matte, so I obviously don't want a glossy piece.

Check with MAcarbon they may be willing to do the part in matte. They do sell it in glossy.

A lot of guys might not know this, but MaCarbon no longer makes the full carbon surrounds anymore. Their site hasn't been updated with pics of the newer version.

The newer version of the carbon surrounds only have carbon on the outer half, so the interior half (the one that faces into the nav unit and controls) is painted matte textured black. They had to adopt this new design because with the previous design they had a lot of fitment issues when reinstalling the nav unit and controls back into the dash.
