Audi Driving Experience

I just recently returned from the Audi half day driving experience in Miami, Florida. We drove the R8 and RS4 on the track. They had different events/learning stations with all the different models.

We did a lead-follow on the track!

There was also a course setup that we raced for time driving the TTs. I was the fastest in my group and over all in the session. That entitled me to a hot lap in the R8. A professional driver showing me what the car is capable of. It was unbelievable.

I noticed that you were driving a US spec car. Aside from the rear fog lights and front grill (side markers too) how did that US R8 differ from the euro spec car. For example: Does the US spec car have the same cool daytime running lamps?

I am not that familiar with the euro specs...But beside the plates and the side markers I think the euro versions get 18in rims while America gets 19s...

I cannot remember about the lights...

Sweet... It was really a great experience. The Audi guys said that they are working on a 2 day program. I am thinking about going back in October. Unfortunately, I am number 14 at my dealer...

Nice. You were #14 at your dealer last August, and you got your car in January? Really? That was fast. Or did you source it somewhere else?

The whole list thing is kind of BS... I happen to be pretty good friends with one of the managers and he made some things happen. I started looking elsewhere, which they knew, so that might have prompted some action. We purchased my wife's Q7 and previous A4 and my A6 and previous S4 from them.... So you would think that they would try and do something...

Who knows for sure?
