If I were an Audi salesman I would email this video to every prospective R8 customer. This vid truly shows what sets this car apart
I've watched all of them, and it is hilarious to see how Porsche does it (stamped aluminum, welded/rivits and 6 screws, at least on the Panamera) -the curves are added to a frame, the Audi has a super serious squared frame and then has shapes put on, Ferrari's curves are actually part of the (duh) unibody construction, the Maserati has fancier things to hold the body (actually Porsche as it too in parts of the process) and they all largely do the same things for the fancy paint process...
And then they show the Camero, and there are no exotic materials, it is all stamped steel, and they crank them through super fast.
As you would expect with price differences (ignoring the markups on name and the like), it is pretty amusing.
But impressive that the workers are equally proud of what they produce - that is cool to see.
That video is sweet, but my favorite in the VW Glass Factory where they build the Phaeton.
For me, the most impressive of the shows so far was the tesla model s factory.
The GTR show was an interesting one too - made me laugh when the guy in charge of the GTR project said that anyone who says cars can only be improved by lower weight, to improve the power-to-weight ratios, are amateurs!
