Palace Blue R8

I am on the list for an R8 and need to decide on a color. Audi's brochure has a color called "Palace Blue Pearl" which looks like it might be a good choice. However I am reluctant to order a car a color I have never seen on a car. My question to the forum is, has anyone seen this Palace Blue color or have pictures of any Audi car painted this color.

I am in the process of having the dealer contact Germany to try and get a paint code for this color so my body shop can mix up the color and shoot it to see how it looks. Not knowing what the dealers timeline may be I would like to see this color on a car since paint chips on a brochure don't always give the full impact of a color on the car.

Your help in this matter is appreciated.

Woodstock, I think it's great that you do not want to settle for a common colour. I never saw the point in buying a sports car and then dampen the effect by dressing it in a ordinary coulour. But I fully understand your concern - PPB might be a great colour, but who knows what it looks like on a R8, since most R8s come in the widely used colours (I btw still admire the courage of the Australian bloke on this forum to have his in orange!). I therefore settled for black and will wait for others to experiment and then decide what appeals to me for my next R8.

Perhaps there you will find a blue combo that suits you as the car configurator on this site is simply amazing. Also, as Bugatti is part of the VW Group, the color combos can be easily matched. (at least I think)

You can't go wrong with classic colors. I chose black.
