Tis a nice country - I am English but would not move back south, unless circumstances dictated. The scenery up here is right up there with some of the best spots in Europe especially on the west coast. I do a fair bit of munro-ing as they call it up here - I did an overnight walk on Ben Macdui on Saturday and Sunday and the views were top notch

Like Mr M says be good to know where you're heading too?

You have to go to the west coast in the Highlands from Glencoe to the north. Great driving country so pity your flying. You can visit all the islands you like fairly easily - Mull, Muck, Eigg and Skye etc. Glencoe and Lochaber are Gods country, though I was in Neufchatel last year and thats not too bad!! Like Scotland but with the vino. Bring good walking boots.

And there's always Knockhill Race track nr Perth for when you get bored with the Merc!

Drop us a line if you need any help on your route - we live about 10 mins from Glencoe so know the area pretty well.
