Wow, the R8 looks real sharp with this type of backdrop. What kind of wing is that?

This wing is a P.P.I. product from Stuttgart Germany. They sell really nice stuff---but at premium pricing !!. Also have PPI carbon fiber dash, door panels, steering wheel, pod, center console. Will install carbon fiber front center grill and front spoilers as soon as I feel like parking her for a couple of days. Will space all wheels out a bit ,as well as detail insides of rims gloss black. They get very dusty from braking so hard. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I installed real nice PPI air filters as well as a Milltech ,German exhaust, and chip putting her at about 460 H.P. A 100 H.P. shot of nitrous should keep me ahead of the competition. Pulling power is amazing. Paddle shifting automatic never ceases to amase me !!This car makes me very happy. I never dreamed I would ever someday own an Audi !! My grandfathers' name was even Audi !! Thanks to website for FINALLY accepting me into the club. I promise not to disappoint !!
Harrison,
Very Nice! Thanks for posting the beautiful photos.
I also saw your recent post about 'owning Turnbull Cyn Rd'. While it can be fun and exhilarating, the street is just so darn unpredictable; I would hate one day to see that beautiful car wrapped around one of those eucalyptus trees.
May I PLEASE, and very respectfully, suggest that you join the SoCal & Golden Gate Audi clubs for their HPDE track days -- these are a such a wonderful outlet for your performance driving needs. I really think you will enjoy tremendously the great camaraderie of your fellow performance car enthusiasts, and we in return would love to see and hear your car thundering down the straights!
Thunderhill is this very next weekend. We are going with two cars. I'd really like to see you there! www.audiclubgoldengate.org Their chief instructor drives an R8, so you can bet you'd be welcome! I believe registration may still be open, but is closing real soon.
Warmest Regards,
desperado

ooh great pics and i love the rear wing too!![]()
I second everything said by Desparado. I'm sure there are still a few other innocent people using that same canyon road who have yet to be informed that you own this road. (joke)... The track is definitely the best, and safest place to develope the skills of hi performance driving, and then demonstrate your skills amongst your peers... And its really fun!!! And when you can lay claim to ownership of Thunderhill, you will have quite a group of well respected drivers giving you a well earned salute.
Also harrison, on a side note,... if you do actually use your car to its max performance, its very important that you match your large rear spoiler with some significant front lip spoilers. Otherwise you will find that you have shifted the car's performance balance considerably. with extreme downforces now on the rear, but without any increased downforce on the front. These aero mods are not meant to work alone. When driving at speed, they must work together. Unless you add some serious new front downforce, you will have changed the R8's handling characteristics in a bad way. Best of luck and be safe to others.

Thank you for the good advice...You never know what may happen on the streets.I am very exited 6o try this R8 on a track !!! This would be a dream come true. I received the front spoilers in the mail a few days ago. My order was'nt compleat-the front grill inserts didn't arrive with the carbon fiber grill. All C. F. is the hugh gloss. Also only 1 pair of wheel spacers arrived. I am reminded by you guys that this R 8 is gonna handle like a different animal when we are done with it By WE I mean your website has been helping me out since day one of my R 8 dreams (a few months ago tyhey started while I was visiting in Europe and saw my first R8.
Holy moly ! Will I pass the decible limits at a Laguna Seca track day coming up in February???? I have always admired Laguna Seca and to actually drive there in my '08 R 8 would really be something. Militek cat back exhaust with Flaps connected I think
