    My "JET's" Carbon Fingerprint

Hey all R8 lovers! A few weeks ago, I posted "The Jet has Landed"---I just got my custom carbon fiber mirrors. They look pretty sweet if I do say so myself. I was pleased that the "weave" matched so perfectly. Anyone interested, talk to John at MaCarbon (www.macarbon.com)---they do top shelf work and a great guy. Personally, I think Audi should offer these as an option. (They offer everything else) It really balances the massive Carbon Fiber Sideblades. I'm loving the Exclusive "Magnolia" but need to take a shower before entering the ****pit.

Thumbs up Re: My "JET's" Carbon Fingerprint

Looks very nice Have you seen the C.F. mirror pods that are available? Were your doors disassembled in order to put these C.F. peices on?

I have not seen the C.F. mirror pods that are available. My doors did NOT need to be disassembled. The mechanic simply popped off the mirrors and from there disassembled the mirror housing, which was pretty complex, and then took off the shells. Once he mastered the first one, the second one went much faster.

Absolutely love the contrast between the Jet Blue and Carbon Fiber. The mirrors in CF really do balance the car out nicely.

I am still trying to decide on my exclusive interior colors. I want two-tone and was going to use Cognac as one of my colors.
If you had it to do again, would you get the Magnolia?
I think the color is striking, but am concerned about keeping it clean.

    gr8Audi,

Thanks. I meditated, sought out the Oracle, and tried to use the "Force" before finally deciding on my color combination. My second choice would have been white, CF sideblades, and Cigar Audi Exclusive interior. My dealer was pushing me for that one too. Now, I can tell you this: Go with your gut instinct--don't let ANYONE sway you. In the end, I'm thrilled with the Magnolia. It's like butter--like being seated in a fine dining restaurant. For me, that's the way it should feel--elegant. I would do it again. The Cognac will be nice---if the two tone is done right, it will look great. The car is a design statement in and of itself, so not a lot is needed. Just enough to make it yours. As for keeping it clean? I do find myself making my fiance do a 360 before I let her or anyone else in it. I also am paranoid about wearing new jeans as the denim bleeds. However, it only requires extra care---not a big deal. I drive my RS4 when I feel like slumming it. (As decadent as that sounds) POST PICS when you get it...

Wow, im not a fan of carbon fiber but that color along with the CF sideblade and mirror actually balance the car very nicely and it looks fantastic. Good job!
