I would imagine either the paint on the fenders or the wheels would get scratched. It doesn't look like they're covering their braces with any towels.

I watched a few cars get carried away while in Stuttgart and the guys were very careful not to damage anything (while I was watching,anyways).The tires were cradled if I remember correctly.Watching a nice car get lifted in a tight spot and then see it sway around ,was always a sort of entertainment around the club scene.
