New night photos

I met last night with [ES]Photography, and he was kind enough to take some shots of my car. We scouted around a bit, this spot had the best (least worse?) lighting in the area, its the local Costco parking lot. It's hard to get day shots as he is up in Ottawa on a Co-op so works during the day, and goes home to Toronto on the weekends. Anyhow, they turned out very nice:




I didn't have much time beforehand to clean up the car and it had a bit of mud from construction (and my fingerprints on the window from closing the door bleh...) I tried to clean up as best as possible with some quick detailer but that ended up icing on the car when I sprayed as the temp was around freezing.

Nice shots.Too bad acouple of them aren't of full car. ...still, very nice!!

Looks great, might be better in daylight but these aren't bad considering how dark it is.

Hoping to get some pics 'using a professional camera' uploaded soon...Not of an R8 tho

They were done that way to try and draw attntion to some of the more dramatic/interesting parts of the car. The engine bay, for example, is a delight to look at on it's own, nevermind in the context of the whole car.

Of course, if you are taking a pic of the engine, the rest of car is cropped out. BUT the best pic, (IMO) was # 5 in the slideshow. I thought that was a good angle with a perfect background and great saturation,etc. Too bad the whole car didn't show. NITE shots are NOT as easy as day shots !!!!!!!!!!!!! To get it perfect. JMO

Yeah that shot is one of my faves of the bunch too, makes the car look like the Batmobile I don't mind the chop, however, it adds a bit of a different view of the car on an angle you don't normally see in the magazine-style car photos
