Yes Chrome..... all the painted panels have been done in a chrome finish. I am new to the forum so can't include the link but if you go out to youtube and search for Chrome Audi R8 you will see a couple clips. Interesting? Enjoy

chrome effect vinyl wraps are pretty common these days, much easier and cheaper than the alternatives to get that effect:

I saw an SL that was paint and you really could not tell it wasn't chrome plated unless you touched it. I hate to think how it would stand up to accident repair!

There was a TVR around here a few years ago which had what they called at the time 'LCD' paint. It looked green from some angels, blue from others.

I think I know the colour you mean - saw a few tvr's with that effect paint which looked purple/green/blue depending on the viewing angle. very striking effect and suited the car well. I also like the grey/purple flip type paint on the tvr's.

I had a friend who painted his plane with that LCD paint...It was insanely expensive!!!
