Could anyone post some pictures of their cars without the extended / enhanced leather package? I'm most interested in how the dashboard looks. Also, do the doors have leather on a V10 without the enhanced leather package? Thanks in advance.

I'll try to remember to post some pix later today.
Get the extended leather! The regular stuff is ugly and has none of that wonderful leather smell.
I miss the extended leather of my '08 very, very much.

Audi consistently receives praise for the finest crafted automobile interiors. The extended leather is expensive but, IMO, it's a must-have option. If you're considering NOT ordering extended leather, maybe these pics will change your mind. You'll kick your self later if you don't order it.
If you're specing your car, another must-have option is the Alcantara headliner. Besides looking good, it absorbs sound and makes the cabin as quiet as a tomb.

i agree that the extended leather is very nice, but i did not spec it on either of my R8s because it just did not seem worth the steep 3500 price. this is subjective and i do agree that the car looks better with full leather, but the standard synthetic trim isn't cheap or cheap looking by any means (it is not GTR or honda quality at all) and is exclusive to the R8.
the alcantara headliner is something that is worth the bang for your buck- only 1300 and a) adds one more texture to the cabin b) makes it quieter and allows the stereo to sound better c) is pure sportscar stuff.
the CF trim is more important than the extended leather also- it is the piece de resistance and no other car made today offers such sculpted CF in such a visible location as the trim package in the R8. no car.
again- everyone has their priority. the ideal is to get every option ticked on the order sheet, but.... yada yada yada.
were i single guy going all out and had no other responsibilities i'd have ordered even the 10K exterior carbon package!

Here are pics of my Spyder with NO extended leather. The extended leather is nice for sure, but it's really not that bad without it. The lower door is still leather, it's only the upper piece that's not. The dash/center console are also not. The only part I wish was leather was the console cowel covering the gauges, that always looks nice in leather so I might just have that piece done single. The dash/door don't look bad at all, and the color matches very well in person (these pictures, the flash kind of washed it out and made it look more gray rather than black, but in person it's almost seamless).

Here are some close up shots of the ugly stuff:

Door panel. The insert is leather.

Egad! I need to clean my cup holder! Hershey Kisses are a problem at times... (Sorry DVMike)
The speaker panel:
Lower cross pad under the rear window.
The pieces in the pictures along with the glove box door and a piece next to that are what's included in the package.
Don't take the car w/o it.
I'm taking my car in for regular service tomorrow and will be ordering the two pieces in the center console. The feel on my elbow of the ugly stuff versus leather makes that switch out a no-brainer. And they're very easy to replace.
