Daytona grey with quartz blades. Daytona can appear very different, depending on how the light hits it. Picture 2 looks almost too blue to me, but then again I was on the inside :-).
Very sharp pictures considering your photographer had to pan with a quick shutter speed. The ISO (film speed) is a bit high resulting in some noise in the first picture probably to compensate for the low light cloudy conditions, but overall good pictures overall.
How do you personally find the V8 power delivery? Is it sufficient for track use in your opinion?
The first picture may also look a little noisier due to the rain as well. The rain definitely creates a spotty look on the hood.
I am pretty much a track novice so the V8 power delivery is more than enough for me. There is so much more to track performance than raw power. Getting the correct line, knowing precisely when and how much to brake, and overall smoothness contribute way more to my lap times than the power of the car. This is a relatively short track with only one long straight section, and even in that case your final speed is hugely dependent on your line coming out of the corner that leads into it. However it is long enough to scare the crap out of me as you come screaming into the next corner.
I would need A LOT more track time before I would come anywhere near exploiting the full power of the car. Guys that have raced for years can put up better times with much less capable vehicles. It will be a long time before the car is a limiting factor, compared to it's driver.
Cool pics. Thanks for sharing.
