Been hunting for days but not found a v10 pic with grey alcantara interior anywhere. Want to put to bed whether the door trim is grey or black.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks - I have pics with grey leather interior and also the v8 with grey alcantara which has plain door trim (see attached), but I've heard conflicting things about the v10.
I asked Bev, the R8 specialist at Audi, and she said it has the door trim as per the leather - but she hasn't been able to provide a picture and every interior I've seen has the plain trim if its with grey alcantara.
I was just hoping someone has a pic of a v10 with the grey alcantara so I know exactly what I'm getting.

I was always wondering why people choose to have their car interiors match the color of dead mice, especially in nice cars.
I mean honestly, grey, is that the best color choice people can come up with? To me grey screams crappy old (and cheap) Japanese car. Even grey leather.
That grey alcantara makes it look a bit better, but still... eeeeeek
Even black, which to me is a very boring interior car color which manages to hide a lot of pretty spots, is much better than grey.
Horses for courses.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I read an article about interior colors recently. In the US they said darker interiors have been popular for a long time. Now that the Chinese market is becoming a major source of sales for luxury marques such as Audi and BMW, we are seeing more light interiors as dark cars with light interiors are the desired combination for Chinese luxury car buyers.
I've notice this trend in the domestic television ads - more light interiors are being shown.

Light is fine, I'm good with light. Beige in my opinion, and it indeed is a matter of taste, looks much better for car interiors. Porsche of example have some very, very nice leather colors for their interiors and very expensive as well. Specifically because they know what is prettier (and they know better than you and I) they charge accordingly.
I'm not a fan of dark interiors. Living in California, a black interior can get brutally hot if left in the sun. I really like beige leather interiors. Combined with a dark blue metallic exterior ir looks really classy.
The R8 I have on order is Sepang Blue. A little lighter than I'd prefer. In fact the color of the blade that comes with Sepang is almost perfect for me. Conversely, the tan color offered is too dark. So I went with the grey. The value (light <--> dark) is just about right but the hue is a little cooler (blue rather than yellow) and a little more muted than my preference.
So I have a slightly lighter exterior and a slightly cooler/muted interior than my ideal. I'm hoping it will work - I certainly spent enough time with the colors sat outside in a V10 trying to decide :-)

I like light interiors because I live in a hot climate, too. However, Audi's "enhanced" leather really doesn't get hot. My black interior exposed to direct, hot sunlight doesn't get unpleasantly hot at all. So don't eschew dark interiors just because of the heat factor if a dark color is desired: get the enhanced option and never be too hot.
