    Pictures of non carbon/stockinterior

Can someone link me to pics of a non carbon interior. Everyone says how great the carbon interior is but I'd like to compare it to the standard. from pictures it just looks like a shiny plastic

there's one big difference I didn't realise - with the carbon interior, the monposto is cf. As standard it's vinyl not the micro-metallic effect of the rest of the inlays (which pretty much does look like shiny plastic to my eyes too).

but it cuts both ways - even with the with carbon inlays, the central nav screen surround was micro-metallic.

As the monoposto extends into the door handle, the carbon option also includes that - it's vinyl as standard, with a micro-metallic inlay to the right of it.

here's another pic I just uploaded to a diff thread - here you can see the micrometallic inlay on the drivers side, and the contrast between micrometallic inlay on the center console vs the monoposto in vinyl:

and another showing the passenger side door trim and the drivers side vinyl handle:

So...the monoposto is the turtle shaped peice, no? and only comes in leather, vinyl, or maybe alcantara. Is there a C.F. version? If so it would have to be matte finish to prevent glare. What is the correct name for the horseshoe shaped piece?? C F version usually matte finish on upper side. Gloss on sides. Any option is better than the titanium colored plastic on the budget interiors. I agree that C.F. is like gold PLATING for the most part. But really cuts the weight on larger critical parts like wings and splitters. even wood in the interior would look nice!

    Re: Pictures of non carbon/stockinterior

the monoposto is the horseshoe shape (upside down "u") that runs from the side of the transmission tunnel, up over the instrument cluster hood and then down the side by the door and flows into the door handle. It's not the hood type cover the protrudes from the instrument cluster.

I believe it's called a monoposto as it's supposed to give the impression of some kind of single seater environment.

Here are some pics from the silver hardback r8 book talking about the monoposto. the picture of the racing car folds out to reveal the roadcar pic inside.

The Carbon Sigma Monoposto is already matte over the top of the dash - at least on mine.
