Audi R8 GT 06/333 Delivery (First in US)

Okay, I can't get enough of this video. The owner of this vehicle, whose name is David, comes to Bell Audi, in NJ (just outside NYC), to pick up his new Audi R8 GT (#006 of 333).

Now, a lot of people might think that a car of this magnitude would become a garage queen, driven only on the most perfect of days, driven in freshly laundered clothing by a gentleman carrying detail spray and microfiber towel in the boot for immediate care of bird droppings.

David comes to pick up his R8 in very casual attire and most importantly, flip flops. David is also smoking a cigarette a few seconds before entering his new R8 GT. David then proceeds to drive his brand new R8 GT for the first time into a downpour, where he is sure to have his car covered in filth.

This, my friends, is the true R8 driver. Someone who recognizes that the R8 is meant to be driven in all conditions and for every occasion. I applaud David.

I pretty much did the same when I picked mine up this week. Shorts, sleeveless shirt and of course, the always present flip flops on my feet. (like there's any other foot wear?).

Took mine to the British F1 GP (thanks to Audi UK) yesterday, had to drive up a very bumpy lane to get to the grass parking area, no probs at all, it's a car use it!

Got it home a few hours after the race covered is squashed bugs, needs a good clean but it was epic to drive, love it!

Mine's just the V8, not a GT. Only GT aspect about it is the color.

And yes, I'm enjoying it immensely.
