R8 show room

Stopped by my dealer to look at their R8 GT they just got in. I knew they had a bunch of R8 in stock but to my amazement they had gotten all their new ones in the show room. 1 GT, 2 V10 Spyders, 3 V10 Coupes and outside they had one used V10 Coupe. I will post some pics of the GT in another tread.

GT looks great.
I like the rear exhaust shape, I'm assuming it's faux like the ovals on the standard R8?

Yes the GT tips are in the bumper just like the V8 and V10 and just act as a conduit for exhaust gases.

The pipes from the muffler are squashed as shown in this pic to line up with the round exit.

WOW!! If that car was ordered by customer, they got hosed by paying $1,850 for GT floor mats!! lol

I think it's a bit of a shame, it's my only negative for me re my R8. I'm sure there is a good reason technically, however, I am a sucker for the real thing.
Does the 458 suffer from the same optical illusion ie are the trio pipes the real thing or faux?
