Please put your location in your profile. We will then know what to look for the smoke. How many miles does this car get before it needs new rubber?

    Re: Burn Rubber

When I see that kind of abuse to a car and tires I just get upset.

We used to "burn rubber" in the 60 s and 70s while taking off from a light but to just go in circles abusing such great equipment and poluting the air goes against my grain big time.

    Maybe its the age... lol

Probably wouldn't do it myself, but looks like fun!
On second thought, maybe I should try. After all, I did buy my car to have fun with!

I think it's a great way to get rid of the P-Zeros so you can upgrade and put Pilot Super Sports on the car.

It is a lot of fun, btw...

I couldn't resist posting this BURNING Rubber clip.(again) Yes they are the stock Pirellis that needed to be changed anyways. When doing this stuff, turn your a.c. and fan off as the car will suck the smoke and blow it in your face !

    Re: Burn Rubber

I remembered this one. Did you ever end of making the four circles of the Audi Logo?

I'll be burning off some Yokohama R888s pretty soon. Will try to make the Audi circles a little better!

I concur. I have done this with almost every car I have owned before replacing the rubber. Here is one from several cars ago:

'10 Audi R8 V10 (daytona gray pearl effect, CF sideblades, titanium finish wheels, STaSIS exhaust/ECU)
'12 Tesla Model S Signature Series (on order)
    '11 Cadillac Escalade ESV
    '06 Lexus RX 400h
    '03 Chevy Corvette 50th Anniversary
    '94 Dodge Viper
    '69 Chevy Camaro SS/RS
