Got an invite. What a drive! yes we were laughing like little kids. Audi fed us breakfast and lunch. Eight R8s with Davy Jones leading in a A8 and Roberto Guerrero following in another A8! Quite a sight all in a row. lots of thumbs up from other drivers. All V10s. we had a cabrio with R-tronic. The sound is intoxicating. and the speed limit signs I believe were just suggestions LOL Thank you to Audi USA

How does one get invited to these events, this is like the 4th one I've seen .. is it something you sign up for?

Not sure how everyone got invited. I should have asked. I new a couple people from Audi club NA events. My dealer sent me an invite because there were some spots still available for the drive. Apparently I've purchased enough Audi's :-) Most people there were not Audi owners. There was an opportunity to ask questions at our lunch and the Audi rep mentioned that this was a way to introduce people to the Audi brand. Ate lunch with Roberto Guerrero ( what a great guy ) an owner of an internet startup, an investment advisor, Insurance exec, none of who owned Audi's. As an aside, I had to ask about R8 updates. The rep, to his credit, said that sometimes we know more than he does but for what it's worth, as far as he knew updates for the R8 had been pushed back to possibly beginning of 2013.
