How to remove watermarks from aluminium windscreen trim on spyder

As above. I did search but can’t find anything so I’m wondering if anyone can help. ‘Apparently’ it’s a common issue for the aluminium windscreen surround on the spyder to get what looks like watermarks. I’ve tried aluminium polish but that didn’t touch it.

Does anyone have any top tips to clean it up?

    Thanks!

i read on another audi forum. they have used Baby Oil. dont ask me why but apparently that works. as everyone has tried metal polish and are getting no where. Ive been polishing mine today and after a couple of hrs of polishing with autoglym metal polish. it still looks exactly the same. Ive given up so I'm going to try this baby oil method

I used to use this stuff before I got a deionizer setup. Deionizer is way easier. You can wash in the sun without worrying out water spots. Had to make the change since I had my car covered in ppf and the water here is extremely hard the water spots would take longer to remove then detailing the car.
