    Magnetic Ride Repaired

Hi All, I had both front mag rides repaired by Vasstech automotive in Aylesbury and couldn't be happier.
They sent both off to Nagengast in Poland. It takes about 3 weeks and comes with a 24month warranty, costs £1400 inc.vat.
I got my car back and it drives perfectly.
I wanted to share this with anyone in the UK with leaking mag rides, another option to consider.

    Re: Magnetic Ride Repaired

Thanks for helping out your fellow forum members and when they rebuild the shocks, are they prone to premature failure like originals or do they rebuild them in a certain way to fix this design problem?

Good info Isi thanks. Does the £1400 include Vass-tech labour? Not a bad price at all compared to the alternatives. And your car was stored there for 3 weeks? Problem with my local specialist is that he would not have space to store a car for 3 weeks without impacting his other ongoing work.

£1400 inclusive of Vasstech labour and postage. Yes they stored my car indoors for 3wks. Great guys Russ and Rob.
The repair comes with 24month warranty, any leaks free repair. It's a good option when compared to replacement or changing to non mag shocks.

What triggered you to get them replaced? Did they fail? Crash? Or was it preventative?

I discovered both front mags leaking. Then began to explore all options. Hardest part was going 3 weeks without the car.

Nagengast do offer an exchange service so you can keep your car on the road, they take a deposit which they refund when they receive your damaged shocks.
