    100% with you ez.
Didn’t get into the R8 in a I don’t have the cash to keep it up scenario.

I want to pay the extra up front, so the car is perfect at all times.

Proactive is far better than reactive.

Yes absolutely. I wish the same thing can be said about the AC-related issues, mag struts, and many other common issues that may happen regardless of what you do or don't.

Take it to Bestiale in Culver City. He does excellent work at a reasonable cost.

I was told high rpm redline burns out spark plugs fast, but mechanics generally believe that's just dealer ripoff scheme. GT3 requires spark plugs every 24k miles or 2 years, whichever comes first. 458 is very 3 years or 36k miles. R8s is a lot better at 6 years. I guess unless there is some sort of failure we can never know for sure, it's all up to the individual to see what makes u sleepy better. I would change them if you drive your car hard, if u just cruise around in the city and PCH, I think you are ok at that mileage. I would rather flush fluids more (tranny, differential, clutch, brake etc.)

'17 R8 here. Local Orange County dealership (Santa Ana) wanted $600 for an oil change at 15k miles. Went to Orange Motors on Lincoln & had it done for $160.
