    Non mag ride suspension upgrade

Hi I've just been told by my garage that I need to replace 2 of my shocks as they are leaking on my v8, I dont have mag ride and I am wondering if it would be better to replace all 4 corners with aftermarket shocks rather than standard. Have people done this before and is it worth it? if so which shocks are best?

    Thanks.

    PS I'm on a budget.

Heard good things about Öhlins though I have not used them myself. It's probably what I'll switch to when I need to change out my mag ride.

There's nothing wrong with the oe passive dampers. They are after all correctly valved and with the right spring rates for the car. If you go aftermarket, KW would be my choice as they go the distance to ensure ride quality is not compromised which cannot be said for some of the less expensive brands. If you intend to track the car or want to adjust the ride height, then coilovers are probably your best option, if not, save your money and replace with oe.
