This car has been sold..... To me.

Great seller, but, you guys don't need to bug him anymore.

Flew down Saturday morning and drove back to Chicago.

At the gas station on the way home. Fun drive for sure!
Congratulations! So lucky you get to go on that road trip. How would you compare it to the gen 1 V10 so far?

It feels stiffer to me - turn in is better. Less understeer.

It feels much faster but that could be because of the S-tronic. I think my old V10 plus was 525hp - but I believe this gen 2 is a bit heavier.

Tech inside is light years better. Seats feel the same - both were great.

Exterior is a personal choice - I love them both.

Will I miss the gated shifter, yes - but, at this point, I really love it.

This will be my 3rd R8 - they are just so easy to live with compared to other "more exotic" cars.

Glad u like it!!!! Its hard to follow up a 911 but I think this car is super visceral and the steering is quick and accurate despite all the reviewers poopooing dynamic steering. Fast AF too, u can destroy pretty much anyone and their mother on the street. This car redefined my driving experience and the gearbox is sensational in manual mode. Its also nice to know it wont try to kill you on oversteer.
Enjoy it in good health Jason
