I was looking at the stock exhaust...Only two of the four exit tips are valved.:)

That's correct. When the muffler valves in the outer tips are closed the exhaust gases (after passing through the secondary cat or resonator, I'm not sure which they are) must exit the pipes through the perforations and travel the long way through the various chambers in the mufflers and out the inner tips. In this mode the exhaust only comes out of one tip on each side. You can verify this by putting your hand behind the tips at idle.

When the valves are open, an additional more direct path is opened up. Now the exhaust gases can pass straight through the pipes. In this mode exhaust will come out of all four tips.

Note that the muffler is a cross-over; the two left tips and the three left chambers are for the right side of the engine, and vice versa.
