On page 31 of this months EVO it states that there is a 3 month delay due to supply chain problems.

LHD cars due in March are now June and that the first RHD won't be around until 4th Quarter 2007!

Anyone know if there is any truth in this

well initially my dealer and other swiss dealers had april 2007 in mind.. now they talk bout july... if we are lucky

but nobody can confirm for sure when which car is delivered.. as in such a low volume process every little sickness to the aluminium-welder means delay

or after the frame has made it to the xray scanner.. and is out of the boundaries for some nanometer, they will kill the frame and build a new one.. imagine how much delay that would mean etc etc...

In my tour they told me the frame will be examined and adjusted if possible.

I spoke to Bev Holloway yesterday and was confirmed my delivery will be end of July / beginning of August. My car is in the first week's production for RHD cars. I asked for the build week no was told that this would not be confirmed incase their was alteration to the production schedule.

So make what you can of that:confused:

L3Man spoke to Bev Holloway at Audi yesterday and I received this email (below) from them today.

So DON'T panic, and don't spread this untrue rumour further !!!!!!!!

Sit down, RELAX. It's not long now............

Good Morning

We are aware of this rumour and do not know where or why it started. There is no truth to it and customers can expect to take delivery of their cars as planned. As you know we have written to R8 depositors advising them of delivery quarters for their vehicle.

Kind regards
