After two days of manual modification and adjustment, finally completed the folding function of the OEM carbon fiber rearview mirror of V10 plus, of course, the GT rearview mirror is the same, and also completed the position matching transformation of the lens, which solved the problem that the facelift carbon fiber rearview mirror could not be folded.

Due to the official design of Audi, the carbon fiber rearview mirror shell of the R8 GT or V10 plus cannot be put down by the ordinary folding bracket, because the position structure of the fixing screw is occluded to the position of the motor and cannot be installed. It may also be a lightweight design, the carbon fiber lens shell matching bracket does not have a motor, and other reinforcement structures are set in the position of the motor, so it cannot be installed.

I've got to figure out a way...

1: Remove the original car folding bracket and wrap it to avoid metal dust from entering the inside of the motor, leaving the part that needs to be cut and polished.

2:Keep cutting, polishing, adjusting, cutting, polishing, adjusting until it fits perfectly into the case; There is only one position of the screw hole needs to be re-opened, the rest do not need to be changed, the most important thing is the cutting of the motor part, you need to leave space to deal with the screw hole bracket in the mirror shell, it is worth mentioning, after cutting the motor bracket, you need to cut another part of the motor part, so that it can be easier to put in; Finally paint with a paint pen.

However, the position of the lens is too high, and the lens rotation cannot be adjusted at full angle, and the gaps around it are inconsistent, and it will touch the edge of the lens shell and cause it to be unable to rotate.

4:Manually adjust the lens fixed baseplate, this part of the work needs to measure the offset value, after the positioning can be started. The most troublesome thing is to remove the middle sponge glue, afraid of hurting the heating circuit, a lens needs to spend an hour, of which the left lens, I did it twice, because after the first time, the installation was found, did not adjust the rotation angle, and then removed and repeated to do it again, so it must be set at one time the angle and position, otherwise it will collapse several times to get it done, it is worth mentioning that the position of the fixed latch of the lens should be cut off from the dividing line, and this part does not need to be adjusted. The transformation of the whole lens took me 4 hours to complete, and the care and patience are my best friends.

Thank you! Yes, I installed the 2nd generation R8 steering wheel, installed both keyless entry and one-button start function, and then designed and built the wireless key case, including the key chain and R8 stamp.
