Any context to that picture? Did it come off a car that was totaled? Or are you implying that American made shocks can withstand hitting a curb lol
Someone’s actually trying to sell these. No mention of any accident.

Those that want to buy Chinese shocks, pads and rotors will always do so. God speed to the lucky next owner.

So to that end, you're implying no one has ever tried to resell broken Ohlins without a mention of an accident? And as such, that depicts the quality of a product??

Id like to see photos of an oem shock, particularly these two areas circled in red. And does anyone who knows about welding have a comment on thst weld?

I am advocating purchasing Chinese shocks. Just as good as anything built in Europe with proper R&D and safety testing.

The above is the best comment ever....

earlier GEN 1 examples were made by Delphi (France) but the technology got acquired by BWI (China). If you do some comparison between the Delphi and BWI units you can tell where they cut a few corners.

Im still hoping someone can comment on of the weld quality is good or not in the above photos. @Jeremy B may know. Anyone else know about welding?

Visually weld quality has very little to actual penetration and strength. Material / Rod / Wire and gas selection along with heat and speeds and testing with destructive methods is the best way to test your setup.

I can lay down so beautiful TIG welds with stacked coins all day long but doing that with enough heat for say a 3/8 depth is not in the cards for my skillsets and equipment. Looks pretty though. My farmer friends with a stick welder could do it in a field in the wind and get full penetration but it will not look as good as mine.

did more research, highly likely made in Taiwan. Similar to iPE, armytrix, etc. Ryft is just based in Vegas and claims handmade by their team, but never specified where.

To OP's credit, these are one of those brands where the price tag isn't justified IMO.
I've never had any issues with my Ryft exhaust. Fitment is perfect and nothing is melted. Last I checked their IG page, which has been a minute, it said their products were tested, designed, and manufactured in the USA.

highly doubt that. maybe at some point it was, but it's definitely no longer the case. Go on their website / socials and nowhere does it say where it's made.

That’s a shame if they outsourced. Maybe I was lucky and landed a U.S. made system.

I'll chip in $100 for the Alibaba ones if you go that route. Im genuinely curious if they would work.

It's a good group of helpful people on here. Try to come across a bit friendlier and I think you will get more out of the site.

Any other mods planned for your car?

Chinese exhaust ordered ✅

I suspect the quality, sound, and fitment will be top notch. As I’ve done more research I’ve found more and more companies that are simply selling Chinese made exhaust as their own. Same with wheel companies.

Valvetronic is probably the largest offender. 5K+ for a 1,000$ system.

I suspect, as I said, after market parts dealers bad mouth Chinese quality because they want to make a buck. Take a look at the quality of teslas Chevrolets and fords and let me know how well their quality is. Lol

I will document the rest of the process here.

Post the order here and then once it arrives ill request a photo with it and then send the $100
