Drove in salt roads, any advice?

I drive my R8 every winter (snow tires, ski rack, etc) on salted roads with no adverse effects. I currently have my car taken half apart and I see no signs of salt damage.

Got that engine mount fixed?
Heh, not yet. Slowly making progress to getting the mount out with the front of the engine hoisted (which I can do for free) rather than having a shop do it engine-out.

What tires are you using? A quick search only brings up Sottozero 3 as fitting the OE 19” wheels. I’m curious how good they are for ”deep” snow or slush?
Yup. Sottozeros on the OE 19" wheels. The tires do quite well with the caveat that nothing can completely overcome the fact that the tires are wide. My Michelin PSS tires feel like greased bowling balls when temps dip below freezing, even on perfectly dry roads. For that reason, I would never run high performance summer tires on this car in the winter, even if you only plan to drive it on dry roads. One emergency stop would be all it would take to ruin your day for the dumbest reason ever.

How often do you wash it?
During the winter? Once or twice. I have PPF on the entire hood and recommended contact areas on the sides, and a ceramic coating on top of all paint and PPF.

TRIGGER WARNING: Do Not Scroll any further if photos of a supercar in the snow will give you a fright!
