It is time for the next EBC Brakes Pad Giveaway! One set of pads (front or rear) will be gifted to one randomly selected forum member from our entire range, just by participating in the below thread!

In past giveaways we have discussed our first ride, garage and storage spaces, famous people we have met or would like to have met and weird and wonderful vehicles amongst other topics.

With respect to electric vehicles, the sound and mechanics of an internal combustion engine is a masterpiece, and as pressures increase from governments for the end of the ICE, this month we would like to pose the question; Hypothetically the law states you can keep only one ICE car for the future, what car do you want to hold onto forever, and why?
Would you choose something economic like a Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost twin turbo, or go for power with the 5.2L V10 Lamborghini Huracan or a 6.2L Hemi SRT Hellcat Supercharged V8? Maybe you want the usability of a Ford F-150, or the classic finesse of a 1980 Corvette Stingray?

The lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced within a few days after the closing date of 1st December 2022 and details will be posted on this forum shortly after.

Please be aware that this thread may appear in more than one section on the forum and one winner will be selected from the whole forum, not a winner per thread.
Pad choice will be based on availability and where a chosen pad is unavailable, an alternative will be offered.

If you are not the lucky winner, EBC Brakes are pleased to be able to offer a 10% discount off their braking products to all members of the forum community using code FORUM10USER
This discount code can be redeemed at EBC Brakes Direct | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Brake Discs or with our USA partners at Perfect Brakes | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Rotors

Any questions or application issues please let us know.

GOOD LUCK………

I do find this question rather interesting, because it is likely more true than not going to be the case. I guess I would have to be biased in my decision and keep my R8. While I would love to have an Aventador or really high-end exotic, its currently not in my price range. I pick the R8 because it can be daily driven, year round, and well sounds awesome. I could never get tired of hearing my V10 scream through the gears. You would have to hope nothing broke in the future, because it would be pretty much impossible to get replacement parts, lol. While electric motors are extremely quick and fast, having an electric R8 would be next best thing, but missing that exhaust sound... nothing would ever compare, ever again.

Yes i agree, buying parts in the future could be black market driven! It still freaks me out that a car can go so fast with no sound, as a kid it was my understanding an exhaust pushed the car forward 😂

I am a part of the R8 club here in Holland and we have over 100 members with Gen1 & Gen2. This topic has been often touched during events i attended like streetgasm and cars and business.

In Holland it is quiet expensive to own a nice car due to the road tax , insurance and penalty for emmisions. The general feeling here in Holland but also in Europe that people will Buy and keep V10 & V12 cars in particular. I will keep the R8 V10+ and probably add a V12 Ferrari to the collection at some point. If I could pick one car than it would be a R8 V10+ all the way. Btw never heard of EBC brakes , i suppose you are not active in Holland - Europe?

I would love to keep my RWS. It has been a spectacular car, and so much fun to Autocross. I fell in love with the R8 when I was younger, and I can't see myself getting rid of it.

We are quite active across Europe being a British born company, but in Holland I am unsure of our reach. Something we can work on :)

You guys also do brake pads for the ceramic pads for the V10+?
Never heard of you guys here in Holland... I think you are missing out on a big market with a lot of performance cars
We have a few distributors in Holland, check out the link below and search Holland to see the list

Our full range can be purchased through the link in our signature below, also. We dont do fully ceramic pads, and not yet anything for the ceramic rotors unfortunately, it is a completely different production method that have not yet taken on
