I’m looking for the same thing but gen 1 black oval v10 tips. I wish someone would have an exchange program for powder coated tips.
Exhaust Tip Replacement - looking for black
I have a 17 R8 base that I would like to swap the chrome exhaust tips with black. Does anyone know where I can find them and what does the effort look like? I open to any suggestion for removing the ever small amount of chrome that shows on rear bumper. Thanks.

Any powdercoater can do it. OR buy the OEM black optics tips, they offer both gen1 and 2.

Considering powdercoating consists of baking in an oven, definitely have to remove. Bumper comes off either way, figure a couple hundred for powdercoating, maybe 500-600 for OEM.
I'll look at both options, probably leaning towards OEM so it's done right.
