Hey Gang,

I just received my exhaust valve controller from Valvetronic and can't for the life of me figure out how to get to the exhaust vale solenoid to plug in the new controller. Looks simple enough on the couple, but the spyder appear to be a bit tougher.

Anyone done this on a Gen spyder and have some tips for me? I have a 2011 V10 Spyder.

Thanks in advance.

This video might help. It's a coupe and a different controller, but it should be very similar.

Thanks man.

Problem with the spyder is that the engine bay has the metal tray for the cover to sit in when in the down position. I stared at it for about 45 mins today trying to go about this the right way based on all the videos of this install on a coupe.
So wondering if I need to remove the plate or try and come from below in the fender well? Or is this one of these giant PIA projects thats not worth my time on the spyder.

Do you have any tips/tricks on doing this? I just got my controller and need to do the same thing.
Hey man! Yeah i actually ended up taking it to my local audi performance shop only because i was hesitant to use my floor jack in the garage. That said its super easy. Take off the passenger side rear tire and then remove the wheel well liner.
I walked the shop through it and was able to watch some of the work so.

All of the other forums and videos for the coupe will show where you need to plug the new controller into.

Thanks! I pulled the rear lid off and the control box blocking access to where that “should” be and my hand just couldn’t make it work. I’ll pull it off the lift into the driveway and go the tire rite tomorrow. Thanks!

So I got the tire off and thought I had it figure out (see pics) but the remote isn’t actuating it. I’m fearful it’s not the right plug. Thoughts??
