I have a 2017 R8 PLUS with 11000 miles purchased 4-23-2017. When the original warranty ran out I extended it for 2 more years through the Audi Pure platinum warranty. That warranty is running out in a little over a month. Any suggestions of a good warranty to coven me for another 24 months. Looking for protection from the big booboos like trans, engine, AC, etc. Any real experience with non factory insurers appreciated.

This is the first time on this forum I have read about a gen 2 A/C compressor replacement. It is only one data point but I was hoping this repair would not plague the gen 2 as it did the gen 1. I am in the same situation as @viperz06 and will be shopping extended warranties soon. Occasionally I consider self insuring but this makes me think twice.

I am going with Sentry guard max...4 years 48,000 miles
about 1700 per year. read the contract and it seems reasonable and can get the car fixed at Audi dealership.

Freedom/Fidelity are always a safe bet. You can use my discounted rate through my supercar club at Highline Autos: Extended Warranties phxdriven. The rates vary by several factors: Year/make/ model, as well as of course miles on the car, and length of desired coverage. 5 years to 100k miles is pretty standard but they can do as short as 1 year if desired.
